Train the Trainer Courses

The Choose and Book team offers new trainers or those inexperienced in Choose and Book, the chance to attend training courses on either the referring or service provider roles within Choose and Book.

How are courses scheduled?

Strategic Health Authoriy (SHA) Education and Training and Development (ETD) teams evaluate local training requirements and initiate delegate attendance. From this, a request is sent to the Choose and Book team to schedule the required courses.

How do I get considered for a course?

The acceptance criteria and course outlines (detailed below) should be reviewed to determine that the course is right for your training needs. A delegate registration form should then be completed in full before you contact your local ETD lead to express your training interest.

Course acceptance criteria

  • The course is aimed primarily at trainers, however non-trainers can be accepted if they have a training function within their role.
  • Users who are new to Choose and Book or have between 0-12 months experience.
  • Users who have previously attended Choose and Book training courses will not be accepted on Train the Trainer course, however a workshop may be appropriate to update their knowledge.
  • Users are expected to hold an active smartcard.
  • Users are expected to cascade knowledge gained to other Choose and Book users.
